Camping

Over the 4th of July weekend we went camping with the Browns. I have not been camping since before I was married, and some may say that I am not the camping type, but I have to say that I can camp with the best of them! It was a lot of work, but was fun. The boys loved it, and they especially getting dirty. Man, were the kids dirty; they started to look like they were a different nationality. We went to Deer Creek and went out on the boat and jet skies.

4th of July!

We had the 4th at our house and the boys just loved it. We celebrated with all of the Browns and it was a lot of fun. Joe and his brother and sister went to Evanston, WY. and bought illegal fireworks and they were like kids in a candy store. They were more excited about it then any of the kids.

We all look so messed-up because we had been camping and just came back to our house to do fireworks.

Jedi Training

Everyday at Disneyland they are having this Jedi Training program and Carter really wanted to be a part of it. So, on the last day that we were there we waited in the hot sun for a chance that Carter might get chosen to participate. Well, the first performance came and Carter jumped up and down and was hoping that he would get picked and to his dismay he was not picked. He had a major break down and was crying and so sad. So, we decided to wait around for the next show in hope that this time Carter would get picked. And this time he did!!! He was so excited and took it very seriously and was super intense.

The final test was for the kids to fight either Darth Vadar or Darth Maul ( I'm not sure if that is how it is spelled???). He did it and was so proud of himself. It really made his day. He even got a certificated saying that he is now an official Jedi. It was really cute to watch. Thanks to Grammie and Papa for sitting there and saving seats for hours!

Funny Story!

Great story! Aidan wanted a Churro so bad, but as soon as he got it he fell asleep, he was exhausted. By the way, who falls asleep holding a Churro??? Not me, I love those things! Anyways, he was asleep in his stroller and we were in line for the Monorail and his stroll was parked next to his one year old cousin Bear (Ryan) and Bear kept eyeing the Churro and then finally very slowly and carefully Bear pulled the Churro out of Aidan's hands without ever waking him and then continued to eat just about the whole thing. It was so funny and Aidan never knew the wiser.

Telling Carter that we were going to see all of his cousins and go to Disneyland with them I thought that his head might explode! He loves his cousins so much and doesn't get to see them that often, so this week was heaven for him.

All of the family at a Character Breakfast. The only ones missing was David, Heather and Abby because Heather was due with their second daughter any day. And the day came on Wednesday while we were in Disneyland, good thing they didn't come. Little Haley! Congrats to all, but we missed you!

Disneyland

What fun we had at Disneyland! I think that I might love it as much if not more than my kids. Carter was finally tall enough to go on most rides (40") but was to much of a wimp. the one ride that both of the boys love is the Buzz Lightyear ride which I think we went on 15 times in three days. I don't know, that might be some kind of record. the funny thing about that ride is that adults love it to. Everyone gets really competitive and tries to beat each others scores.

We went hard core and did the 8am to midnight thing everyday. And to say the least we were exhausted!

Aidan loved Buzz! On the last night I bought them a few things and Aidan was trying to hold all of it, he was so happy!

Liz's Retirement Party Week

Congrats to my Mom for working 38 years as a Speech Therapist in the Livermore School District. She has now finally retired and we are all very excited! We spent a week in California celebrating with my family. It started at my parents house where we had two parties for my mom. They were both a lot of fun and great food! My boys were so excited to go to Grammie's and Papa's house. The first thing that they got into was the dress up.
